bossini x Hong Kong Market: Cantonese Wordplay Pop-up Store

The Hong Kong Market has joined forces with bossini to launch an exclusive one-day flash market on 29 April, celebrating the unique Cantonese “Eat Word Culture” t-shirt collection. This campaign allows customers to take home products of Hong Kong’s distinctive Cantonese food-related wordplay culture.

 

This special collection of T-shirts, created in collaboration with local illustrator MILKTEALOGY (奶茶通俗學), features humorous prints and stylish designs depicting Cantonese slang phrases like “咪當我水魚”, “扮曬蟹”, and “花生友食花生”, each reflecting the quirky yet rich local flavour of Hong Kong. Agnes Lung, Executive Director and Group Chief Marketing & Digital Officer of Uni-China Group, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “The collaboration with Bossini perfectly embodies our group’s commitment to supporting local brands and embracing Hong Kong’s vibrant culture.”

 

The pop-up store, located at Maritime Market, featured exclusive discounts, peripheral products, and a neon light photo wall. Customers who registered as bossini members at the event could customize their bossini “Eat Word Culture” eco-friendly bags and enjoy an exclusive 15% discount at the store. Additionally, customers who purchased an “Eat Word Culture” T-shirt received a complimentary limited edition dining plate featuring the collection’s themes.
