UC at Oxfam Hong Kong Trailwalker 2024!

Uni-China Group proudly participated with three teams, each comprising four members, in the challenging 100km Oxfam Trailwalker held in the past October. This year’s event was particularly demanding due to the aftermath of a typhoon, which rendered the trail conditions exceptionally difficult. The mountain paths, slick with mud, presented treacherous footing and risked slips at every step, leaving participants covered in mud from head to toe. This 100km journey is not just measured in time or distance; it reflects the commitment, teamwork, and determination displayed by our UC team throughout hours of trekking.

Our support team members were stationed at various checkpoints, assisting with necessities and supplies. Our UCers, including our Chairman and management team, not only saw our teams off but also welcomed them back at the finish line.

A special mention goes to our subsidiary, Bao Dim Sin Seng, which sponsored the event and provided much-needed nourishment at checkpoint 4. Their hot meals of steamed rice and dim sum brought warmth and revitalised the spirit of all Trailwalker.

Kin Sang Shopping Centre’s Revitalization Complete: Experience New Vibrancy!

Uni-China Group is proud to announce the successful revitalization of Kin Sang Shopping Centre, a project commissioned by Link REIT that has refreshed the community’s spirit in Tuen Mun. The comprehensive transformation, carried out by Uni-China Group, spanned from meticulous planning and innovative design to detailed licensing, efficient construction, and strategic management.

Drawing inspiration from the appeal of toy bricks and childhood nostalgia, the revitalized Kin Sang Shopping Centre offers a fresh and dynamic experience. This thematic approach has not only injected new vibrancy into the area’s urban landscape but has also created substantial value for tenants and the property portfolio.

After our renovation, the total square footage of Kin Sang Shopping Centre has increased by approximately 8000 sq ft, expanding the space available.

Celebrating 15 Years at Bao Dim Sin Seng

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of Bao Dim Sin Seng (BDSS), a significant milestone in our history, we partnered with the esteemed local brand, Mrs. So’s XO Sauce (蘇太名醬) to introduce a limited edition series of spicy products, demonstrating our dedication to the fusion of innovation and tradition. Beginning with the modest aim of bringing traditional Chinese handmade buns to a broader audience, BDSS has evolved into a leader in Hong Kong’s “grab-and-go” food sector.

The celebration took place at the Central Market, with more than 300 guests in attendance. The event featured special appearances by football star Massimo Ambrosini and former AKB48 Team TP member Kitty Sin (冼迪琦), who jointly inaugurated the festivities. A highlight was Ambrosini distributing longevity peach buns to the crowd, adding a perfect touch to the celebration. The event garnered extensive media coverage, with features in over 100 outlets across news, finance, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle categories.

During the event, Mr. Jackie Ling, Chairman of Uni-China Group, delivered a speech emphasizingBDSS’s commitment to innovation and customer responsiveness: “Bao Dim Sin Seng consistently strives to innovate beyond traditional boundaries, offering premium, inventive Chinese buns while closely aligning with customer preferences.” Initially focused on selling fresh, hot buns ready for immediate consumption, we noticed a demand for buns that retained their quality until the next day. Responding swiftly, we adapted our product line to include buns designed for later consumption without compromising on taste or texture.

Additionally, in celebration of our 15th anniversary, we collaborated with local artist Bao Ho to unveil new packaging and a special edition eco-friendly bag, alongside exclusive shopping incentives, as a gesture of gratitude towards our loyal customers for their longstanding support.
